Mount Teide Volcano Experience

Climb out of the coastal heat and into the volcanic moonscape of Teide National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This half-day ride takes you up through the lush La Orotava valley and into a landscape that feels like another planet entirely — black lava fields, wind-sculpted rock formations, and (on a clear day) views out over the whole island from above the clouds. It's the single most requested route we run, and it's easy to see why: nowhere else on Tenerife gives you this much scenery in half a day.

The Route

1. Meet at Costa Adeje — safety briefing and gear fitting (helmet, jacket, goggles)
2. Ride north through the La Orotava valley, stopping at a viewpoint over the banana plantations and coast
3. Climb into Teide National Park — volcanic moonscape, lava fields, Los Roques de García
4. Stop near the cable car base station for photos of the crater and, weather permitting, views above the clouds
5. Short break at the visitor centre — coffee and photo stop
6. Ride back down through the pine forest to Costa Adeje, arriving early afternoon
